While not directly related to thermocouples, they are important in industries where humidity control is critical for processes or for ensuring quality in products sensitive to moisture. In some industrial processes, controlling both temperature & humidity is crucial for quality control. So, we can say that hygrometers are those instruments that are used to measure humidity in the environment. These instruments help in determining the suitability of the ambient air for thermocouples & heating sensors and also provide a warning if the environment is unsuitable for their operation.
